Volunteer of the Month: Raj scales new heights!

This month we acknowledge and recognize Raj Palanivel Raj is a test engineer for a large financial services company and has been an active volunteer with Dream A Dream for the past 6 months.

This month we acknowledge and recognize Raj Palanivel Raj is a test engineer for a large financial services company and has been an active volunteer with Dream A Dream for the past 6 months. Ever since he joined Dream A Dream, he has worked tirelessly towards supporting various programs such as Dream Adventure and Dream Fundays. You can spot him on all Fundays, all the Saturdays in his calendar are booked for children. According to Raj, "I gain self-satisfaction in using my time for a good cause and hence chose to volunteer with Dream A Dream. At Dream A Dream, I am constantly around people who are energetic and wanting to make a difference. This energy is contagious and keeps me going. As an individual I have learnt a lot by volunteering with Dream A Dream. It has given me the confidence to interact with friends, family and colleagues and has made me a better person. My most memorable experience was at an adventure camp in Madhugiri. Madhugiri is Asia’s largest monolith. I was quite inspired by the progress I saw in the kids during this camp. In spite of the climb being difficult, the children were amazing during the entire camp. I very distinctly remember one kid, Nawaz. His energy and stamina kept the entire group (children and adults) going. The transformation in the children at the end of the camp was inspiring. I also feel very proud that I have climbed Asia’s largest monolith the second largest in the world and am thankful to Dream A Dream for this wonderful experience". Dream A Dream acknowledges Raj’s effort to bring more smiles into the lives of children and for being such a constant source of support and energy for all of us.
