Happenings: Dream A Dream's own "Little IT Masters"

For months,young minds at the LearnIT program have grappled with and worked at acquiring computer skills . Now, finally is their chance to show the world what they have learnt. “Bits and Bytes”, is an event organized towards the end of the LearnIT program for each batch of children from our various school partners. It allows the students to work in groups and present projects on topics of their choice using basic IT tools. The children use all the skills taught to them during the course- Microsoft office, PowerPoint, internet etc. It’s the final frontier that shows the impact computer education has had on each child. It also creates an opportunity for the children to speak and interact with a large group/audience. This helps them improve communication, inter-personal skills and confidence. Nearly 85 students from 3 schools have been able to present this month. They worked on some of the concepts like Solar system, Transportation, Festivals, Water pollution etc. These displays of skill truly bring a sense of accomplishment to the children and a sense of how much more Dream A Dream must do to reach out to more children.
