One of the big highlights for the Dream Football Program in the month of November was 2 teams participating in the Under 14 Mahindra Football Tournament. Here is a blogpost of their participation in the tournament. Slum Soccer, a Nagpur based NGO, working in area of ‘Development through Football’ puts together an India team to participate in the international event called ‘Homeless World Cup’. Slum Soccer has invited Dream A Dream to send a team to Nagpur in January 2011 to participate in the selection process. We hope some of our children get the chance to play in the 2011 World Cup. We have begun the process of identifying children above the age of 14 from the program and plan to provide special coaching to this group over the next 2 months.
